Nan Fischer’s Bio

I am known as a solar power and green building advocate. I started this blog to combine those interests with other aspects of my green life. Buildings are the biggest energy hogs and a great place to start curtailing energy consumption and emissions, but there are other ways to live an eco-conscious life. This has been my lifestyle since I was a kid. I don’t need to ‘go green’, and I want to share my lifestyle with you.

Being eco-friendly is holistic. My work and life are intertwined. Designing homes, being frugal, caring about the natural world, being progressive and doing my own holy work are a few of my many facets, and they are all here on desert verde under one umbrella.
