Great post. Always great to see more people spreading the word about how to select a solar installer. I think the more we can get the word about how to evaluate installers, the more homeowners will be willing to go solar. I think every piece of information helps, particularly when it comes to the quote. It’s so important that each quote is for the exact same size system and in the same units – ie. $ per AC watt for example. If one installer is quoting DC watts and the other is quoting AC watts, you’ll be comparing apples to oranges. For that matter, and I think this is starting to happen, all installers should be putting both AC and DC watts on their quotes so that the consumers can make and apples to apples comparison.
